Welsh health board bans tobacco

Hywel Dda health Board in Wales have introduced a smoking and tobacco ban in all mental health and learning disability sites

I'm James MacDonald with news that Hywel Dda health Board in Wales have introduced a smoking and tobacco ban in all mental health and learning disability sites. The ban starts tomorrow and is there to protect the health and wellbeing of staff, patients and visitors. Patients are not allowed to bring tobacco products into hospital and visitors have also been asked not to bring any in. A spokesperson said” As part of a care plan, patients will also be offered personal support from a specialist adviser from the Smoking and Well-being Team”.
