West Lothian Council workers could trigger a summer of strike action

GMB Scotland said its members were being balloted on industrial action - with the first possible strike day falling on July 3. 

I'm Nick Meir with news that West Lothian Council workers could trigger a summer of strike action on the eve of the general election unless they receive an improved pay offer, a union has warned. Care staff employed by local authorities across the country are threatening to walkout 24 hours before voters go to the polls on July 4. GMB Scotland said its members were being balloted on industrial action - with the first possible strike day falling on July 3.
