Welfare dogs visit hospitals in the North East

Wag and Company have been helping to lift the mood of emergency staff after they’ve finished a long shift

I'm James MacDonald with news that A & E staff in the north east have been given a moral boost thanks to a visit from welfare dogs. Wag and Company have been helping to lift the mood of emergency staff after they’ve finished a long shift in a number of hospitals across the region. The dogs were brought in as a request from Rachel Heeley, Matron at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital. She says it was a wonderful experience and staff were talking about it for days after. Stay with Care Radio for more on this, and other stories.
