I’m Matt Rosser with news that the number job vacancies in the UK has reached the record of 1.85 million active job adverts. The Recruitment & Employment Confederation says the government must work with industry to create a sustainable labour market, encompassing skills, immigration, childcare and local transport. In the last week of July there was a significant increase in adverts for actors and entertainers, driving instructors and dancers but the health and social care sector recorded notable decreases with the number of adverts for hospital porters, childminders and paramedics all falling.
