Strike could be called off if pay talks happen

Nurses' strike due to start this week could be called off if the health secretary negotiates "seriously" over pay

I’m Paul Hutton with news that it’s being claimed that the nurses' strike due to start this week could be called off if the health secretary negotiates "seriously" over pay. The head of the Royal College of Nursing, Pat Cullen told BBC One's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg she won't dig in if he doesn't. However the government says it’s not the government's role to negotiate pay. Walkouts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are due on 15 and 20 December. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
