Senior doctors ballot shows support for strike

Unions representing NHS staff except doctors and dentists are starting negotiations with the government with hopes that they can resolve their pay dispute

I'm Matt Jones with news that a ballot of senior doctors has shown that they are prepared to strike over pay and pensions. An indicative vote run by the British Medical Association revealed that 86% of the more than seventeen thousand consultants in England who voted were prepared to take industrial action. Unions representing NHS staff except doctors and dentists are starting negotiations with the government with hopes that they can resolve their pay dispute. For more care stories, stay with us here on Care Radio.
