The review will be led by former Labour Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt, and will explore how to empower local leaders to focus on improving outcomes for their populations
I'm Lucy Hutton with news that the government has announced a new independent review into oversight of Integrated Care Systems. These are partnerships of different organisations in a region, who plan, buy, and provide health and care services, designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The review will be led by former Labour Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt who is currently chair of NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board, and will explore how to empower local leaders to focus on improving outcomes for their populations.
