I'm John Warburton with news that reactions continue after the National Audit Office found millions of people in England with poor mental health aren’t asking the NHS for help, and many suffer long delays. Gemma Byrne of the mental health charity Mind said it showed signs of a “collapsing mental health system”, and called for “bold political leadership” including adequate funding. Meanwhile, Simon Gunning from the Campaign Against Living Miserably claimed a decade of austerity had brought a “mental health emergency” that was “ripping through the heart of our communities”.
