RCN warns of exodus of young nurses from NHS

Nearly 43 thousand nurses in the UK in the early stages of their careers have quit in the last five years

I'm Matt Jones with news that the UK's largest nursing union has warned of an exodus of workers with thousands of young staff leaving the profession. Nearly 43 thousand nurses in the UK in the early stages of their careers have quit in the last five years, according to figures from the Royal College of Nursing. The RCN says many of those leaving between 2018 and 2022 decided to quit because of stress, burnout and being underpaid. For more care news, stay with us here on Care Radio.
