I’m Paul Hutton with news that The Royal College of Nursing says the Government’s rejected calls for detailed pay negotiations, and that’s why its members are having to go on strike. Nurses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are to strike on the 15th and 20th December. RCN general secretary Pat Cullen said an offer of formal negotiations was declined and instead ministers have chosen strike action. The union has demanded its members receive a pay rise of at least 17%. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
