Project using Covid care experience to reduce digital inequality

Covid sharpened healthcare differences between patients familiar with smartphones and laptops, and those who don’t use them

I’m John Warburton with a report from a new public healthcare group that’s trying to improve access to health information for people who don’t use digital devices. The Norfolk and Waveney Health and Social Care Partnership says Covid sharpened healthcare differences between patients familiar with smartphones and laptops, and those who don’t use them. The partnership’s now looking for people who might be excluded from the digital world. One plan is for volunteers or a library to provide patients with a device and the training to use it. We’ll update you on this and other news here on Care Radio.
