Power grid operator teams up with charity to offer free warmth and lunches

Age Connects, Cardiff and the Vale runs daily lunches with grant support from the National Grid Community Fund and the Vale Council

I'm John Warburton with news that a warm space and free meals are being offered to vulnerable people in part of Wales, as an electricity power grid supplier, a council and a charity work together. Age Connects, Cardiff and the Vale runs daily lunches with grant support from the National Grid Community Fund and the Vale Council. The charity says lunch should be given to up to 30 people every day, between now and the end of March. Many similar schemes are opening elsewhere: search Google for “find a warm welcome space today”.
