NHS Scotland aims to be carbon net zero by 2040

I'm James MacDonald with news that the NHS in Scotland has launched a new green strategy and plans to be carbon net zero by 2040. One aim in the strategy is to reduce emissions from medicines such as metered dose inhalers and a cut in single use clinical instruments. The goal is also to make it easier for staff, patients and visitors to travel to NHS buildings by public transport or bicycle. Scottish Health Secretary, Hamza Yousaf said “we need to think long-term about how to make services more sustainable”.
