NHS providers looking for nursing deal

They've welcomed the decision to exempt 'life preserving care' from strikes

I’m Paul Hutton with news that the interim chief executive of NHS Providers, is promising Trust leaders running NHS organisations affected by a nurses’ strike later this month will redouble efforts to reach local agreements with the union about where strikes will hit.  Saffron Cordery has welcomed the decision to exempt 'life preserving care' from strikes.  These include critical care units, intensive care, dialysis and chemotherapy services, neonatal and paediatric ICU. But she says trust leaders face a daunting prospect of intense negotiations with local strike committees to seek exemptions for other critical patient services. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
