NHS not taking gambling cash

NHS England says it will be fully funding its own gambling services from 1 April.

I’m Paul Hutton keeping you up to date with news that the NHS will stop accepting cash from the gambling industry for the treatment of people suffering from addiction as patients feel ‘uncomfortable’ about it. NHS England says it will be fully funding its own gambling services from 1 April. GambleAware collected £16m between April and December last year in voluntary donations from the gambling industry to fund a range of treatment services. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other developments, here on Care Radio.
