NHS claims its app saves 22,000 journeys per month

The app is a free download that gives patients access to their medical records, inoculation record, repeat prescriptions and appointments

I'm John Warburton with news that the NHS has this week claimed its digital app is saving an average of 22,000 car journeys each month in England. The app is a free download that gives patients access to their medical records, inoculation record, repeat prescriptions and appointments.  Bosses say going on-line is helping reduce car journeys to surgeries, which is claimed to be the biggest part of the NHS’s carbon footprint. Some users report the security features are difficult to use, but developers stated that they are working on any problems. For more on this, and other stories, stay with us here at Care Radio.
