News Social Worker role in Nottingham to free up hospital beds

I’m Matt Rosser with news that NHS England is funding a new social worker job in Nottingham to help free up hospital beds by to getting medically fit patients discharged. It’s part of the ‘Transforming Care’ programme to reduce the number of citizens with a learning disability and or autism living in hospital. In November, Nottingham had more than 170 patients ready for discharge, well above its target of 64. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
