I'm James MacDonald with news that the Government are introducing laws that make it easier to recruit overseas dentists and nurses. If it’s put in place, this will provide a smoother pathway for dentists and nurses from countries such as Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and the Philippines. The British Dental Association (BDA) said it welcomed the move – but that the new drive would not end the  shortage of NHS dentists. But Patricia Marquis from the Royal College of Nursing, has expressed concern saying overseas recruitment ‘isn’t the only solution’.
