New Hospital opens on Isle of Skye

Broadford Hospital is part of a £40 Million pound project and has a 24 bed complex which includes a community maternity unit

I'm James MacDonald with news that one of two new community hospitals in the highlands has officially opened on the Isle of Skye. Broadford Hospital is part of a £40 Million pound project and has a 24 bed complex which includes a community maternity unit. Scotland’s Cabinet Secretary for Health, Humza Yousaf said: “I am committed to delivering a healthcare system that is fit for purpose and puts the needs of patients at its heart.   The new hospital was first proposed by the local community and will play a key role in rural health care in Skye, Lochalsh and South west Ross.
