New helipad at Salford Royal Hospital

thanks to a two million pound donation from the NorthCare charity, the helipad provides direct access from the air ambulance to the hospital

I'm Matt Jones with news that a new helipad on top of the Salford Royal hospital has been completed, thanks to a two million pound donation from the NorthCare charity. The helipad provides direct access from the air ambulance to the hospital. Patients previously taken by helicopter had to be driven by road ambulance from a landing site in a nearby park. The helipad saves a vital 20 minutes on getting seriously ill patients to the Major Trauma hospital. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
