New coalition launches to provide support to unpaid carers

The Carer Poverty Coalition, led by Carers UK, includes charities and local organisations. Among its members are the Joseph Rowntree Foundation

I'm John Warburton with news that a leading charity supporting unpaid carers is at the front of a new group of 94 organisations, attempting to reduce the financial hardship faced by the people they help. The Carer Poverty Coalition, led by Carers UK, includes charities and local organisations. Among its members are the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and the Motor Neurone Disease Associaton. The coalition’s creators say their aims include building awareness of carer poverty, and the impact of the cost-of-living crisis.
