Increase in women state pension age to cut care time

Women take on almost 60% of informal care responsibilities for family and friends, and it's feared that the changes will lead to a drop in care time of about 6 hours a week

I'm Matt Jones with news that the increase in the state pension age for women could reduce the amount of time women spend caring for elderly relatives, according to a new report. The report by three European universities calls for increased government spending on care or older relatives who cannot afford private care will be put at risk. Women take on almost 60% of informal care responsibilities for family and friends, and it's feared that the changes will lead to a drop in care time of about 6 hours a week.
