House of Lords report urges government to make adult social care a “national imperative”

The call comes in a report, released this week, warning that the sector’s invisibility is increasingly damaging people receiving care, and all who provide unpaid services

I'm John Warburton with news that a House of Lords committee is challenging the government to make adult social care a “national imperative”. The call comes in a report, released this week, warning that the sector’s invisibility is increasingly damaging people receiving care, and all who provide unpaid services. The Adult Social Care Committee also wants the public to have easier access to Carer’s Allowance, and more of it. Additionally, members also say it’s time to implement Carers’ Leave properly. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
