House of Lords rejects cap on care costs

Critics said the least well off people would need to use more of their assets to pay for care

I’m John Warburton with more on the House of Lords rejecting government plans to change how the cap on care costs is worked out. The Health and Care Bill originally excluded means-tested support when calculating an 86 thousand pound limit. The amended Bill will later return to the Commons for debate. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other stories here on Care Radio.
