GP to patient ratio different around the country

The Royal College of GPs warned that experienced Doctors were “exhausted or burning out” because of unsustainable workloads and suggests some will struggle to meet new Government targets

I'm James Macdonald with news that new figures show that some GP surgeries in England have far more patients per GP than others. In September, Health Secretary Thérèse Coffey unveiled plans to improve access to GP surgeries, by saying everyone who needs one should get an appointment within two weeks. The Royal College of GPs warned that experienced Doctors were “exhausted or burning out” because of unsustainable workloads and suggests some will struggle to meet new Government targets. Regionally GPs in the North west had the least number of patients whereas colleagues in London had the most.
