Government told to stop encouraging more fossil fuel

Several major groups of care professionals have told the government to stop encouraging more fossil fuel in Britain’s energy supply

I’m John Warburton with news that several major groups of care professionals have told the government to stop encouraging more fossil fuel in Britain’s energy supply. Organisations including the British Medical Association and the Royal College of Physicians say pollution from oil, gas and coal burning is “incompatible with protecting public health”, and “threatens our healthcare system’s resilience”. But the government believes there’ll still be several decades of demand for oil and gas in the transition to clean energy.  We’ll keep you up-to-date on this and other developments, here on Care Radio.
