Fostered teenager, now law student, sets up care support charity

Gemma Creamer says her foster mum and dad gave her a safe and stable home

I’m John Warburton with inspirational news of how a teenage woman, herself in foster care for four years, has helped found a charity to support care leavers, while she studies to become a barrister. Gemma Creamer says her foster mum and dad gave her a safe and stable home. When she was 17, she helped start a charity, “Beyond”, helping young care leavers access the services they need. Gemma is currently supporting Brighton and Hove City Council’s appeal for new foster families. We’ll update you on this and other news, here on Care Radio.
