Few councils enforcing blue badge laws

Only four councils in England are responsible for bringing more than half of all prosecutions for misusing the disabled parking blue badge scheme

I'm Matt Jones with news that four councils in England are responsible for bringing more than half of all prosecutions for misusing the disabled parking blue badge scheme. Figures released by the Department for Transport show that Lambeth, Hammersmith and Fulham and Bromley in London, and Birmingham city council between them carried out 54% of all legal cases relating to misuse. Most of the cases involve people using someone else's blue badge, which carries a maximum fine of a thousand pounds. For more care news, stay with us here on Care Radio.
