I'm John Warburton with news that there’s been a further warning about worsening future mental health conditions among children, caused by longer waiting-times for treatment. In a letter to The Guardian, Mental Health Network boss Sean Duggan says stresses on care professionals have worsened during the pandemic, suggesting up to 1.5 million youngsters are in need of new or additional support. He points out that half of adult mental health problems start in childhood, and is calling on the government to make a comprehensive plan to ease the situation.
