Culture-to-care-homes project marks thousandth show

A grant from Arts Council England means viewing the shows for the 3,000 people supported by the charity is free of charge

I'm John Warburton with news that musicians and dancers from a single charitable project were set this week to give their thousandth performance to residents of care homes. Opera singers Caroline Kennedy and Rachel Maby were scheduled to deliver songs from the shows through an online platform called “what-to-do.co.uk”. They’re part of “Connecting Stars”, whose performers include artistes working with the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne and the National Theatre. A grant from Arts Council England means viewing the shows for the 3,000 people supported by the charity is free of charge.
