The previous guidance that face masks should be worn at all times and any Covid outbreak must be reported to the local health protection teams has been relaxed
I’m Matt Rosser with news that the UK Government has updated its guidance on the use of face masks in care settings and on outbreaks in care homes in England. The previous guidance that face masks should be worn at all times and any Covid outbreak must be reported to the local health protection teams has been relaxed. From the 15th of December care providers can assess the risk themselves. Minister of State for Care Helen Whately said she was making the change because in care homes it didn’t feel like the darkest days of the pandemic were thankfully behind us.
