I'm John Warburton with a question: could home-based digital monitors turn patients’ residences into virtual hospital wards, and save lives? NHS trusts in the West Midlands have been using technology to let medical staff monitor patients at home, to check for critical changes including blood pressure, oxygen levels and even home humidity. Initial trials included patients over 50 living in flats in Wolverhampton. Now, managers and tech group West Midlands 5G are planning a conference on latest developments next month.
