Cost of living crisis affecting kidney and MS patients

Even before April's price rises, people receiving dialysis treatment at home were paying between five and fifteen hundred pounds a year extra

I'm Matt Jones with news that unpaid carers and disabled people are facing additional struggles with increasing energy costs and the higher cost-of-living, that's according to findings from the charity Kidney Care UK. It says that even before April's price rises, people receiving dialysis treatment at home were paying between five and fifteen hundred pounds a year extra because of electricity and water usage. Other charities have also raised the alarm - the MS Society of Scotland says that, on average, people living with Multiple Sclerosis are having to make impossible choices between heat and food. And there'll be more on this and our other stories right here on Care Radio.
