Cervical Screening campaign

4 out of 10 women who don’t book a cervical screening test say its because they’re too embarrassed

I'm Alistair Clarke with news that 4 out of 10 women who don’t book a cervical screening test say its because they’re too embarrassed - so a new campaign fronted by Scarlett Moffatt and Louise Minchin is hoping to overcome that. It’s called Help Us Help You and it urges women to take up the invite or book in with their GP practice. On average two women a day die from cervical cancer but research shows more than 80% of deaths could’ve been prevented by regular testing. And there'll be more on this and other stories here on Care Radio.
