CERA rolling out Siri as part of care provision

In a UK first, ‘Siri for care’ is powered by automated phone calls to patients through an empathetic, human-like virtual assistant

I'm Nick Meir with news that European healthcare provider, Cera, has begun trialling a voice assistant nationwide. In a UK first, ‘Siri for care’ is powered by automated phone calls to patients through an empathetic, human-like virtual assistant. Calls ask a series of medically-validated questions to monitor an individual’s health. Answers are then analysed using machine learning to identify significant changes, monitor and prevent health deteriorations, and send alerts to carers to arrange for a doctor’s visit where necessary – preventing an emergency room visit. The service means more people can be monitored at once.
