Carers Leave Bill reaches next stage

The bill could see millions of unpaid carers get better support for looking after older, disabled or seriously ill relatives

I’m Matt Rosser with news that legislation which could see millions of unpaid carers get better support for looking after older, disabled or seriously ill relatives reaches another stage this week. The Carers Leave Bill has secured Government and cross-party support. If it’s successful it would give employees a new right to have up to one week of unpaid Carer’s Leave. On Friday February 3rd the Carer’s Leave Bill will go through to Report Stage and Third Reading in the Commons. For more care news every day stay with us here at Care Radio.
