If successful, the bill - which has support from all sides of the house - would entitle people with caring responsibilities to up to one week of unpaid carer’s leave
I’m Matt Rosser with news that the Carer’s Leave Bill which aims to support millions of unpaid carers in employment has passed the committee stage in the House of Commons. If successful, the bill - which has support from all sides of the house - would entitle people with caring responsibilities to up to one week of unpaid carer’s leave with the same employment protections as things like Maternity leave. The Bill will now proceed to report stage where MPs will have another opportunity to consider it. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
