Care advice demand "far outstripping available resources" says charity

Access Social Care’s annual report shows there’s been more than a tripling of the number of social care needs assessments in the last year, compared to the year before

I'm John Warburton with news that a leading charity giving legal advice to people needing care says the English social care system has reached a “critical state”. Access Social Care’s annual report shows there’s been more than a tripling of the number of social care needs assessments in the last year, compared to the year before. The charity says this increase far exceeds the resources available.  That’s despite the government announcing last September it would reform adult social care and inject £5.4bn into its budgets.
