Campaign to support paramedics

The aim being to help front-line staff work without the fear that they may be attacked or assaulted in their duties

I'm Matt Jones with news that a new campaign has been launched by the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives to promote the safety of paramedics and ambulance workers. The new campaign called WorkWithoutFear aims to help front-line staff work without the fear that they may be attacked or assaulted in their duties. Every day a staggering 32 ambulance staff are abused or attacked -- that's an increase of 4,000 incidents over the last five years. And there'll be more on this and other stories here on Care Radio.
