Bristol hotel hired to free up hospital beds

The facility at the Leonardo Hotel was introduced in November and will be in operation until March, with up to 30 patients cared for

I’m Matt Rosser with news that two floors of a Bristol hotel have been hired by the local NHS trust to free up hospital beds for those in need of acute care. The facility at the Leonardo Hotel was introduced in November and will be in operation until March, with up to 30 patients cared for by staff from provider Abicare on a 24/7 basis. Visiting clinical teams provide rehabilitation and primary care support. The practice is being used by trusts across the southwest of England, including Bristol, Devon and Cornwall. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
