Ambulance Service may collapse

One issue being a huge number of medically fit people remain in hospital for a number of reasons including not having care at home

I'm Alistair Clarke with news that a health boss from the Midlands fears the Ambulance Service will be so overwhelmed in the next few months, it may completely break down. Speaking in the Health Service Journal, Mark Docherty from West Midlands Ambulance says its bad now and getting worse. One issue he points out is the huge number of medically fit people who remain in hospital for a number of reasons including not having care at home.
