Air pollution linked to dementia

The Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants reviewed nearly 70 studies and concluded that it is likely that air pollution does contribute to decline in mental ability and dementia in older people

I’m Matt Rosser with news that new research by a UK government committee has said that there is a link between air pollution and cognitive decline including dementia. The Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants reviewed nearly 70 studies and concluded that it is likely that air pollution does contribute to decline in mental ability and dementia in older people.Further research is still needed before recommendations are made and the committee hopes more funding for research will help develop the evidence on this important topic. For more care related stories stay with us here at Care Radio
