87 year old Alan drives 3000 miles for Alzheimer's Research

Alan’s wife has dementia and he’s hoping his 3000 mile journey will generate money so scientists can find a cure for Alzheimers

I'm Alistair Clarke with news that a Newcastle pensioner is going on the longest road trip of his life to raise money for Alzheimers Research UK. 
Alan Troilett, who’s 87, is going to drive around the whole United Kingdom coastline in 17 days accompanied by his neighbour John and his Yorkshire Terrier, Teddy. Alan’s wife has dementia and he’s hoping his 3000 mile journey will generate money so scientists can find a cure for Alzheimers. For more care related stories stay with us here at Care Radio.
