£20,000 grant for charity supporting young carers

The Essex-based healthcare social enterprise, “Provide Community” made the gift to “Kool Carers Southeast” to expand its work that includes family therapy and one-to-one therapeutic intervention

I'm John Warburton with news that a £20,000 grant is going to let a young carers’ charity expand its counselling services. The Essex-based healthcare social enterprise, “Provide Community” made the gift to “Kool Carers Southeast” to expand its work that includes family therapy and one-to-one therapeutic intervention. The group receiving the grant aims to show young carers aged under eighteen years old, with some of them aged only eight, how best to look after their own mental health. It’s been operating in Basilton and Brentwood since 2017. Charity founder Rachel Tungate is calling the grant a “critical lifeline”.
