10% in Barrow are unpaid carers

Government figures showed 9000 people in south Lakeland were caring for others

I’m Alistair Clarke with news that 10 percent of the population in Barrow in Cumbria are classed as an unpaid carer. Government figures showed 9000 people in south Lakeland were caring for others. Debbi Marsden from Carer Support South Lakes is urging carers to get in touch with their organisation if they’re struggling, especially with gas and electric prices or getting food. For more care news, stay with us here on Care Radio
