I’m Matt Rosser keeping you up to date with news that new research by the Centre for Progressive Policy reveals that women in the UK provide more than twice as much unpaid care as men - some 23 billion hours a year. The survey finds women are ‘disproportionally’ making sacrifices to their careers to meet these caring responsibilities, contributing to gender pay and pension gaps. The think tank is calling for greater investment in formal care provision and recommends that employers should consider flexible working arrangements for all new applicants.
