Carers Trust bosses say there’s been a successful campaign to ask UCAS to bring in a better way for higher education institutions, to help students who must combine studies with their role as a family carer
I'm John Warburton with news that support for young adult carers is being extended by co-operation between a charity and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. The news came just hours after students receive their A level results. Carers Trust bosses say there’s been a successful campaign to ask UCAS to bring in a better way for higher education institutions, to help students who must combine studies with their role as a family carer. The 2023 application includes a new question, to let students with caring responsibilities identify themselves to their new university. It should help them get better support through their courses.
