Former doctor and author of ‘This is Going To Hurt’ Adam Kay has planted a tree outside Ealing Hospital in memory of NHS staff who have died by suicide
I’m Matt Rosser with news that the former doctor and author of ‘This is Going To Hurt’ Adam Kay has planted a tree outside Ealing Hospital in memory of NHS staff who have died by suicide. The TV show based on Adam Kay’s book focussed on the mental wellbeing of NHS staff including fictional junior doctor Shruti, who took her own life. People had been trying to find the location of her fictional memorial tree and a real one has been planted. Writing on Twitter Adam Kay describes it as ‘The UK’s only memorial to NHS staff who have died by suicide’. He says ‘May they rest in peace, and may we redouble our efforts to stop it happening ever in the future.’ For more care related stories stay with us here at Care Radio
