I’m Lucy Hutton with news thaT the NHS’s ongoing staffing crisis is set to worsen with consultants and ambulance workers edging towards strike action as 999 call handlers stage another 24-hour walkout. The Telegraph says more than 15,000 ambulance workers across 11 trusts in England and Wales are voting on whether to strike over pay. Consultants are said to be considering going on strike while there’s ongoing balloting by junior doctors and nurses who are also entangled in pay disputes.
