I'm Matt Jones with news that tens of thousands of outpatient appointments have been cancelled this week as NHS trusts cope with a three-day strike by junior doctors. As many as sixty-one thousand junior doctors are on strike until Thursday morning as they campaign for a 26 percent pay rise. Trainee staff will refuse to work in areas including A and E, critical care and maternity services, prompting hospital bosses to be concerned that patients could be harmed as a result of the action. For more care news, stay with us here on Care Radio.
